As an organization that serves local business owners and customers, Advantage Roseville is proud to support Small Business Saturday® this November 25th. Small Business Saturday® was founded by American Express in 2010 to help strengthen local economies. Today, it’s an annual holiday shopping tradition celebrating a national movement dedicated to uniting communities and small businesses… because it’s those unique small businesses that help our city stay vibrant and unique.
The best part about Small Business Saturday® and the #shopsmall movement is it’s relatively easy to participate, and it’s a great way to reach new customers and promote your business. Here are some ideas on how you can get involved.
- Get your name out there. Reach shoppers through social media, your website, email, newsletters, or online advertising. You can even find customizable marketing materials at the Shop Small® Studio. It’s easy to do…trust us!
- Work together with other small businesses in your area. Banding together with other local businesses and neighborhood associations or champions allows for a bigger draw for potential customers. For event ideas or more information on how to become a neighborhood champion, click here.
- Create bundles in your shop. Solve customer’s shopping dilemmas and introduce them to several of your products with themed gift ideas…think him or her sets, pet gift ideas, holiday ideas, etc.
- Get social…in person and online. Step up your social media presence, suggest gift ideas, talk about promotions you will be offering on November 25th, tell your unique story, etc. And be sure to use the campaign hashtags #ShopSmall and #SmallBizSat.
Small Business Saturday will be here before you know it. It’s easy to get prepared and make it a great event with customizable materials for your business at the Small Shop Studio. And remember, there are 100’s of small businesses located in Roseville. For a list of what’s available in Downtown Roseville, click here.
